Leather Journal Cover

Our leather journal covers are handmade by us in Sydney, with care and attention to every detail. 

Designed to be both practical and beautiful, our covers are refillable and made to stay with you for years to come. We offer them in two sizes: A5 and A6 - so you can choose the format that suits your everyday writing, planning, sketching or note-taking. 

Each cover is made from premium full-grain leather sourced from Tuscany, Italy - from tanneries that are part of the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium. The leather is vegetable tanned, which gives it a natural feel and allows it to develop more character over time. 

Both our A5 and A6 journal covers are fitted with three elastics. They comfortably hold six refills of 60 pages, and can also accommodate more, depending on the thickness of your inserts. If you would like to add even more refills, extra elastics can be added. We designed our covers with enough leather to wrap around your journal neatly, even as it becomes fuller. 

Journal dimensions: 

• A5 covers fit refills measuring 22 cm or smaller 
• A6 covers fit refills measuring 16 cm or smaller 

Our covers are also made to evolve with you over time. You can change the elastics, add pendants or charms, and make your journal feel even more personal as the years go by. 

Above all, our journals are made to be used, carried and loved. Over time, each one will tell its own story. 🤍

Leather Care

Because leather is a natural material, every piece is unique. You may notice natural marks, veins or subtle variations in texture and tone. These are not flaws, but part of what makes each journal cover one of a kind. For the same reason, your cover may look slightly different from the one shown in the photos. 

Leather responds to the world around it. With use, sunlight, humidity and handling, your journal may soften, deepen in colour and develop more character. This is part of the beauty of vegetable-tanned leather, which gradually develops a patina, a richness, depth and gentle sheen that make each piece feel more personal with age. To help your journal age well, we recommend keeping it away from prolonged direct sun, water, excessive humidity and very dry heat. If needed, a natural leather balm suitable for vegetable-tanned leather can also help nourish and protect it.
