About us

Moment Studio started with two friends and a shared love of stationery.

We’re Sylvia and Julie, two Europeans who met in Sydney and quickly bonded over our love for notebooks, pens, paper, and all the small details that make stationery so beautiful. We could happily spend hours in stationery shops, picking things up, admiring the textures, and talking about what we wished existed. 

Somewhere along the way, the idea for Moment Studio began to take shape. We loved journals, but we could never quite find one that felt exactly right to us. We wanted something simple and elegant, something thoughtful, something high-quality. So in October 2025, we decided to create our own stationery brand and started working on our very first product.

We started from zero, with no real experience, just a clear feeling of what we wanted to make. We started learning about leather, and spent months trying out different designs. Eight months later, we had a design that finally felt like us. 

The name Moment Studio means so much to us because it holds the feeling behind everything we want to create. It is an invitation to slow down and take a moment for yourself. A moment to write, reflect, plan, dream, or simply pause. We wanted our brand to feel gentle, warm, and intentional, and to create pieces that bring a little beauty to everyday life. 

Leather felt like the right material from the beginning. It softens over time, develops a patina, and becomes more beautiful the more it is used. Every mark and change tells part of a story, which makes each piece uniquely yours. What could possibly be a better place to store your precious journals than this?

We’re only at the beginning, starting with our signature journal cover and dreaming of one day expanding into other stationery pieces we love just as much. 

For now, it’s just the two of us in Sydney, building Moment Studio with four hands and a lot of heart. 🤍
